Vladimir Mukhin




Vladimir Mukhin is one of the greatest figurative Russian artists. Born in 1952 in Russia, Vladimir Mukhin is a Member of Russian Artist Union since 1985. He was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1999. In 2004 he was awarded the silver medal from the Russian Academy of Fine Arts for his lasting achievements in decorative and fine arts. He has exhibited his paintings in more than 85 National and International Exhibitions since 1975. Several of his artworks have been acquired by various museums in Russia. His artworks have been purchased by serious fine art collectors from around the globe.
Vladimir Mukhin occupies a unique place in the world of art. His haunting, exuberant, and poetic tapestry & paintings have enjoyed appeal worldwide.
The sources of his inspiration are found in Russian folk culture and icon painting with symbolic and metaphoric meanings. He rediscovered a free and vibrant use of color. His work is remarkable not only by exposing an absolute unconditional professionalism and maturity, but is very compelling by the fact that Vladimir is a poet, and his artistic visions can be considered as poetry in colors and shapes. He populates his tapestry & paintings with angels, circus performers, lovers, and animals, creating lyrical poems which proclaim the beauty of all creations, as well as his unwavering belief in the existence of miracles and in the infinite wisdom of the Creator
