The Nude - especially the sensual, voluptuous and provocative Female Nude - is probably the most popular subject in the history of painting, inspiring artists for centuries. Stefan Georgiev, a Bulgarian artist, was born in 1954 in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. He pursued his painting career with a contemporary & unique attitude towards paintings of nudes as the central subject of his work.
He is inspired more than anything else by the incomparably beautiful and expressive form of female nudity
The portrayal of his nudes is striking, with the quality of craftsmanship and his phenomenal technical abilities contributing to the sheer beauty of his paintings, which express his adoration, admiration as well as the desire for a woman as the Creator has meant her to be or as she appears in various mythological settings.
Stefan’s paintings are the staging of a private moment of intimacy and a dramatic departure from the classical depictions, with his vivid & outspoken use of color pallet and extensive use of different materials. His work depicts exquisite beauties and possibilities of expression of erotic sensation contained in the female nude form.
Stefan finished in 1974 the High school of Fine Arts and continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts " Nikolai Pavlovitch" in Sofia from where he graduated in 1982. Since then he is participating regularly in solo and group exhibitions and his artworks have been exhibited in National and International exhibitions and shown in prestigious galleries world-wide. His paintings are highly sought after and are owned by fine art collectors in Europe, Canada and the United States
